About The Position

A Produce Manager is responsible for daily operations of produce department's profitability, presentation, sanitation and training future produce managers. Display this same courtesy to co-workers as well. Be professional in appearance and demeanor. Be responsible for budget, inventory control, orders, processing, packaging, labeling, maintaining acceptable presentation guidelines set up by Brookshire Brothers. Schedule and supervise employees assigned to produce department to insure total customer satisfaction. Follow all training programs and makes sure all employees in produce department are trained to do their required tasks or job function. Be willing and able to work additional shifts other than what is posted on weekly schedule. Be willing and able to perform other duties as assigned such as general cleaning, custodial duties, and other activities as directed by management.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 1 year produce experience unless approved by the District Director.
• Must be able to use Microsoft Office products with ease.
• Must have good verbal and written skills.
• Must be able to calculate gross profits, inventories, and salary projections.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• All other physical requirements will be discussed during the interview process.
