The position involves managing and supervising up to 20 associates in the Produce Department, with potential responsibilities in the Floral Department. Manage and supervise up to 20 associates in the Produce Department.
May also be assigned responsibility for the Floral Department.
Oversee the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Produce and Floral Departments.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
Interview and train associates.
Plan, assign, and direct work for associates.
Assist in appraising performance of associates.
Reward and discipline associates as necessary.
Address complaints and resolve problems.

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two to three years related experience and/or training preferred.
Exceptional interpersonal skills.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
Ability to write simple correspondence in English.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and associates who speak English.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
