About The Position

The Produce/Lead Clerk is responsible for creating outstanding customer experiences through exceptional service, establishing and maintaining a safe, clean, and fresh environment, and achieving sales and profit goals for the Produce department. This role involves monitoring quality assurance standards, directing and supervising all functions and activities within the department, and supporting day-to-day operations. The clerk is expected to embrace the Customer 1st strategy, encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service, and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. Mariano’s, based in Illinois, merged with The Kroger Company in 2015 and serves customers in over 40 stores throughout the Chicago Metro area. Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control all established quality assurance standards.
  • Direct and supervise all functions, duties and activities for the Produce department.
  • Support the day-to-day functions of the Produce operations.
