About The Position

The Produce Helper is responsible for ensuring efficient and courteous customer service at all times in support of the company mission to 'Run the Best Store in Town'. This role involves maintaining a positive attitude and creating an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork. The Produce Helper will greet and speak to customers, provide prompt, courteous, and efficient customer service, and assist the produce manager in ordering, receiving, and displaying all products for processing. Additional responsibilities include rotating merchandise to ensure freshness and quality, cleaning the department according to company standards, shocking green leaf vegetables, unloading trucks, breaking down products, and following the company food safety program. The Produce Helper must keep their workstation and surrounding area neat and clean, sanitize the department at least twice a day, and adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
• Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks.
• Ability to have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals.

Responsibilities

• Keep workstation and area around workstation neat and clean.
• Sanitize and clean department at least twice a day.
• Attend on-site work during scheduled shifts.
