About The Position
The position involves overseeing the operations of the Produce Department, which includes forecasting product demand, managing inventory, and ensuring the quality and presentation of produce items. Responsibilities include ordering, receiving, storing, processing, pricing, displaying, and inventorying all produce. The role also requires ensuring that all resale items are cleaned, trimmed, sorted, packaged, rotated, culled, and displayed professionally. Additionally, the position involves designing and directing promotional displays and resets, grouping and arranging fruits and vegetables, and maintaining compliance with sanitation and safety regulations. The individual will inspect equipment and ensure proper safety practices are followed by all department personnel.
