We're thrilled to announce the opening of our newest Rosauers Supermarkets location this June! We're looking for enthusiastic team members to be part of something exciting from the very start. This position offers the unique opportunity to join our pre-opening team, with training for your role beginning before our doors open and the chance to help with store setup, so we're ready to deliver the exceptional Rosauers experience our customers know and love from day one. As a Produce Clerk, you'll be at the forefront of bringing nature's bounty to our customers' tables. In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing, packaging, and displaying fresh fruit products, ensuring they are of the highest quality and freshness for our customers. Your dedication to organization and customer service will ensure that our customers have access to the finest fruits, vegetables, and herbs, while enjoying a positive and enjoyable shopping experience.

Requirements

Previous experience in a similar role
Knowledge and passion for produce
Candidates must be 18+ years or older
Complete a pre-employment background check
Current food workers card (where applicable) once employed
Must be able to regularly lift, carry, and push up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Welcome and greet customers with a smile and help them to locate various produce items.
Assist customers by answering questions about our produce and provide recommendations.
Wash, peel, cut, and package various types of fresh produce. Stock and rotate fresh produce.
Regularly check the freshness of fruits and vegetables on display. Ensure all produce is fresh.
Remove produce items that do not meet our quality standards and/or show signs of spoilage.
Monitor inventory levels and assist to ensure the produce display area is always well-stocked.
Keep up to date with present, future, seasonal and special ads in the produce department.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
