The Produce Clerk sorts, displays, removes, and replenishes fresh fruits and vegetables in the produce department. This role maintains the overall environment of the department by providing assistance to Members through product knowledge and customer service, ensuring that all produce meets or exceeds company quality standards.

• Work as a team to deliver GOLD club standards daily: Grand opening look daily, All items stocked and promotional plans executed, Maintain visible accurate signage, Clean and organized, inside and out.
• Understand how to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for your department.
• See the connection between consistent execution and the positive impact it can have on the business.
• Provide assistance to Members in the produce department.
• Answer questions, recommend products and safe handling tips, and assist Members with finding products throughout the club.
• Inspect, rotate, and store produce upon delivery.
• Ensure that all received produce meets or exceeds company produce standards.
• Rotate produce on the sales floor to ensure optimal freshness and variety.
• Ensure cases and display areas are fully stocked.
• Keep the produce displays neat and clean.
• Remove products that are no longer suitable for sale.
• Maintain the produce reserve stock area.
• Date and rotate all back stock items.
• Ensure the storage area is organized and condensed daily.
• Follow established guidelines when disposing of damaged, spoiled, and/or expired products.
• Assist Fresh Manager with inventory and order processing as needed.
• Clean and sanitize all produce equipment, display fixtures, and areas, including the produce cooler and refrigerated display cases.
• Generate signage for produce goods and perform price check functions when necessary.
• Ensure all items are accurately priced and signed.
• Maintain all club policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance as an essential function of this job.
