About The Position

As a Produce Clerk at Tony's Fresh Market, you will be responsible for providing product suggestions and assisting customers with their questions. Your duties will include stocking cases and ensuring a wide variety of high-quality produce items are available to customers. You must ensure complete compliance with food safety and sanitation requirements daily, and periodically clean and sanitize produce department areas, preparation areas, and equipment.

Requirements

Highly organized with a keen sense of details.
Great listening and communication skills.
Can handle lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting while handling products or using various equipment.
Ability to shine in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Greeting and building rapport with customers.
Display a friendly and outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language.
Respond to customer questions in an effective manner.
Stock products and maintain product displays according to merchandising standards.
Process deliveries, breaking load down onto stock carts or pallets and then transferring to the sales floor.
Comply with Company policies on freshness dating and safety procedures.
Maintain clean work areas by consolidating and organizing the product.
Basic department cleaning upkeep.
Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure quality service and products for our customers.
Organize items on shelves, remove expired products from displays, and assist shoppers in their daily needs.
May perform other duties as assigned or required.
