BJ’s Wholesale Club is powered by more than 30,000 team members. The Produce Clerk sorts, displays, removes, and replenishes fresh fruits and vegetables in the produce department. This role maintains the overall environment of the department by providing assistance to Members through product knowledge and customer service. The Produce Clerk ensures that all produce meets or exceeds company quality standards. Team Members are expected to carry out job functions and responsibilities as assigned, support club policies, procedures and compliance, strive for flawless execution, act with honesty and integrity, lead with the member in mind, ensure a safe and positive environment, embrace inclusion and diversity, work with speed and agility, innovate and adapt, and maintain a friendly and positive attitude. They are also responsible for delivering service excellence to members, resolving concerns, ensuring a safe environment for members, and adhering to GOLD Member Standards (Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate) and Fast, Friendly Full, Fresh, Clean Club Standards. The role involves working as a team to deliver GOLD club standards daily, maintaining a grand opening look, ensuring all items are stocked and promotional plans executed, visible accurate signage, and a clean and organized club. Additionally, the Produce Clerk should understand how to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for their department and see the connection between consistent execution and its positive impact on the business.
