About The Position

We are looking for a talented individual to join the Produce Department Team. This individual should smile, greet, and be courteous to customers, work with management and all other associates to provide a high level of customer service, be punctual, work your schedule, conduct yourself at all times in a professional business manner, and assist in any way possible and as directed to provide for a clean and safe store environment.

Requirements

• Must demonstrate efficiency and delicacy with potentially hazardous equipment (slicers, heated wrapping stations, knives, etc.).
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Receive and store produce in a busy grocery store environment
• Unload fresh and boxed produce from delivery truck and transports them to storage room with a hand truck
• Count and weigh incoming articles and compare results against invoice.
• Examine produce in storage and rotate to avoid aging.
• Cut fruit into small pieces suitable for packaging for individual sale.
• Clean slicers, containers, and storage room with water hose and broom.
