About The Position

Our newest location is opening soon and we are actively seeking dependable and hardworking part-time Produce Clerks to join our team at Sayville Plaza team! The ideal candidate will have experience operating a pallet jack (or willing to learn), lifting produce boxes, and efficiently unpacking and stocking fresh produce. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining attractive, well-organized displays are essential. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
HS diploma or equivalent
Basic knowledge of math, weights, and measures
Be dependable and reliable
Have an outgoing and friendly demeanor; a positive attitude and the ability to interact with our customers
Strong communication skills; and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
Must be able to speak, read and communicate in the English language
Adhere to all safety, health, weights, and measures regulations

Responsibilities

Responsible for stocking the Produce Department which includes presentation of product, facing, filling, and organizing product items
The Produce Clerk will also be responsible for the proper stocking and rotation of merchandise in the Produce Department, including trimming, watering, and merchandising of products to ensure fresh, high quality offerings
Will also ensure proper inventory control to maximize product freshness and availability and answers questions from customers in a friendly and helpful manner
Other duties and functions as assigned
