Produce Clerk
About The Position
We are seeking to hire a friendly, energetic, and helpful person to work in our produce department. A successful candidate will have a strong desire to learn and work with produce items from virtually all around the world. The need to work hands on with all products is a must. The need to trim, rotate and fill produce items constantly to ensure the presentation of the finest and freshest items to our customers for purchasing. Employees not only learn about each produce item, but they will also be required to share, educate and recommend items to customers with their produce purchases. The product mix is constantly changing with each growing season, as well as holiday items and local favorites.
Requirements
- Strong desire to learn and work with produce items from virtually all around the world
- Ability to work hands on with all products
- Ability to lift, stand, walk and work with hands and fingers throughout their entire work shift
- Ability to lift items and product up to 10 lbs. regularly
- Ability to lift items and product up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Ability and desire to learn
