About The Position

World Foods is hiring a Produce Clerk to join our team at our Barbur location. As a Produce Clerk, you will help maintain an attractive and well-stocked produce department while ensuring that only the highest-quality products are available to our customers. Requirements

• 6+ months of produce, grocery, or similar retail experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and presentation
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Dependable and punctual
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience in a retail, grocery, or produce environment preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
• Passion for high-quality food and local/international culinary products
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing stairs, and reaching overhead
• Ability to see at near and far distances and respond to a variety of sounds

Responsibilities

• Maintain visually appealing produce displays
• Rotate product to ensure freshness and quality
• Receive deliveries and verify orders with the Produce Manager
• Remove and log items that do not meet quality standards
• Maintain organized back-stock areas
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Assist customers with product questions and recommendations
