About The Position

As a member of the produce team at Sam's Club, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our members receive high-quality and fresh fruits and vegetables at low prices. Your responsibilities will include making important decisions regarding the quality of produce, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring product availability. You will be on the front lines of customer service, where your positive attitude and friendly demeanor will enhance the shopping experience for our members. This position requires a passion for produce and a commitment to member satisfaction, as well as the ability to adapt to changing work scenarios and think creatively to drive improvements. In this role, you will be expected to maintain a positive attitude by greeting and thanking members, providing exceptional customer service, and answering any questions they may have. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized area, receiving and stocking merchandise, and managing inventory to prevent stockouts and overstock situations. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and educate other associates on tools and resources will be essential in creating a seamless shopping experience. As an expert in produce, you will understand the processes and specifications related to the quality of various types of produce merchandise. This includes preparing products according to established standards, maintaining product safety, and adhering to company sanitation guidelines. You will leverage digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience, utilizing handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production and product quality. Additionally, you will take ownership of your area by driving performance, utilizing inventory management techniques, and ensuring quality and date control standards. As a talent ambassador, you will advocate for the department and the club, modeling high-quality service and products while exhibiting energy and commitment to your work. You will comply with company policies and procedures, complete work assignments efficiently, and adapt to feedback and changes in the workplace.
