As a Product Owner in the Americas Tax Technology Group (ATTG), you will oversee applications and products throughout their lifecycle, ensuring business relevance, adoption, and continuous improvement. You will assist with annual planning based on roadmaps and the development of business cases in support of the governance process. Your role will involve coordinating activities at all levels of the organization on issues related to the products, directing the continual upgrading of ATTG products, and managing annual budgets. You will also provide field communications regarding production issues, coordinate training for team members, formulate test plans, and provide leadership and guidance to help team members understand focus area strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or a related field.
  • 8 years of related work experience, with at least 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience.
  • 6 years of experience in tax domain knowledge including financial compliance and reporting vendor software.
  • 6 years of experience managing implementation teams across all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • 4 years of experience conducting design thinking sessions and developing business capability matrices.
  • 4 years of experience converting business and technical requirements into appropriate solutions.
  • 4 years of experience supporting peer teams such as infrastructure, operations, enterprise architecture, and/or information security.
  • 4 years of experience managing relationships with business sponsors and vendors.
  • 4 years of combined management experience including supervision and direction to team members.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee applications & products throughout their lifecycle.
  • Assist with annual planning based on roadmaps and development of business cases.

  • Direct continual upgrading of ATTG products and procedures.
  • Develop annual budgets and manage expenditures.
  • Provide field communications regarding production issues.
  • Coordinate or deliver training to Product Support Services team members.
  • Formulate test plans and strategies for user acceptance testing.
  • Make decisions based on quality review results.
  • Understand tax law and technology implications.
  • Lead and direct teams of professionals.
  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Manage risk in the delivery of quality client services.
  • Generate and manage new business opportunities.
