About The Position

The Mill Extra Trainee position at Smurfit Kappa involves assisting with housekeeping duties in the mill, ensuring cleanliness and safety on the production floor and basement. Requirements

• Must be at least 23 years of age
• High School diploma or GED
• Some warehouse and production experience is required
• Must have analytical skills and a desire to learn new equipment and applications

Responsibilities

• Housekeeping of the mill production floor and basement
• Washing floors, walls, and equipment using water hoses and high-pressure washers as needed
• Moving chemicals and other equipment around the plant using a forklift or other machinery
• Learning relevant local and company requirements, rules, and procedures
• Reporting incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions or processes
• Performing other duties as assigned
