About The Position

This is a Procurement Technician GS-1106-07 with the Mission Installation Contracting Command, located in Fort Irwin California.

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described below.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes; 1) Performing various support duties that include updating and maintaining documents or reports; 2) Compiling data for statistical reports; and 3) Resolving a variety of shipment, payment, or other discrepancies.
Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.

Generates, prepares, controls, reviews recurring error reports.
Monitors various automated contract information management systems by entering, searching for, editing, and extracting data and information.
Works with situations involving the procurement process from contracting pre-award phase through the post-award phase.
Updates and maintains the currency of procurement management documents or related information.
