The purpose of this position is to provide direct supervision to the Procurement Specialists within the Office of Purchasing and Contracts (PAC). This includes overseeing and reviewing individual workloads to ensure work is performed, developing and managing employee performance, and providing guidance to employees and other public health personnel on Public Health purchases. This position will report to the Purchasing and Contracts Manager. Funding for this position is from a grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for Public Health Infrastructure Development. As such, the position shall be focused on how broader community-wide collaborative efforts can be improved by the development of performance management within our own departmental programs.
