About The Position

As a Procurement Specialist, you will: Initiate bid/quote process for services, supplies and equipment and consults with requestor to develop specifications Conduct necessary vendor background screening to ensure compliance with CRF policy requirements Work with vendors to ensure rates, terms and conditions, agreements, licenses and insurance are in order, reviewed and approved Maintain all relevant records are current; includes but not limited to vendor licenses, insurance certificates, and statements of work, quotes and proposals using the CRM (Contact Relationship Management) database Build and maintain complete and accurate contract files, agreements, quotes, account details/contact information and tracking sheets Determine and develops appropriate sources of supply and maintains cooperative working relationships with vendors to stay current with trends and technologies, products and services CRF inspires and mentors the next generation of mental health professionals! Our Central office is in the Mission Bay area. We provide management support services for all of the mental health programs of Community Research Foundation and PERT, Inc. Our Central Office consists of Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, Information Technology, Housing, Real Estate and Facilities, Quality Improvement. CRF staff members work together to meet the needs of San Diego County's residents who are experiencing mental/behavioral health challenges. Requirements

  • High School diploma with 5 years of experience with direct procurement or supply chain experience required.
  • A valid California driver's license in good standing, personal vehicle, proof of insurance is required to fulfill the essential functions of this position.
  • Able to pass criminal/background clearance
  • Intermediate computer skills, including MS Office
  • Basic understanding of databases or other tracking type software
  • Proficient computer skills, with intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with 2+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain or procurement vendor management
  • Database experience with PO requisition or CRM experience preferred
  • Experience working in a non-profit organization preferred
