Position Summary: The Procurement Specialist is part of the Procurement team that manages enterprise-wide procurement vendor management and purchasing for equipment, clinical supplies, and office supplies across 900+ facilities. This role is responsible for administering procurement programs, analyzing spend and vendor performance, and exercising independent judgment to improve purchasing efficiency, cost controls, and policy compliance This role will own request intake, purchasing execution, data analysis, and process support, ensuring timely ordering, accurate tracking, and compliance with procurement policies. This role operates with discretion in evaluating procurement requests, advising internal stakeholders, and recommending purchasing approaches that align with business objectives, budgetary constraints, and operational priorities. This role plays a key part in reducing manual effort, increasing clinic self‑service where possible, and supporting data‑driven decision‑making for equipment and supply investments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance or a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, operations, or a related analytical or operational role.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing business data and advising stakeholders on decisions.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work cross‑
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently

Responsibilities

  • Administer procurement program and day‑to‑day workflows for supplies and equipment, ensuring requests are accurately reviewed, routed, approved, and fulfilled in accordance with established policies.
  • Process supply and equipment requests submitted through defined intake channels, ensuring required information and approvals are obtained.
  • Evaluate non‑routine or complex procurement requests and determine appropriate sourcing approaches, escalation paths, or alternatives based on cost, urgency, and business impact.
  • Exercise discretion in determining how procurement policies are applied to varying business scenarios, including resolving exceptions and recommending alternative solutions.
  • Coordinate with vendors to place orders, confirm specifications, track delivery timelines, and resolve order or fulfillment issues.
  • Provide status updates to clinics regarding open requests and orders.
  • Assist with tracking equipment requests, approvals, and spend by clinic and VP.
  • Maintain and optimize procurement‑related catalogs for office supplies, clinical supplies, and equipment, including updates to item descriptions, pricing, and availability.
  • Own the use and improvement of procurement intake tools, tracking logs, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for process improvement or standardization, and implement the same.
  • Coordinate change management efforts by helping develop job aids, process documentation, and clinic communications related to procurement processes.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, Facilities, and leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning related to equipment and supply purchases.
