Responsibilities: As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for category management, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management as directed by the Procurement department. You will handle day-to-day activities related to Brookdale communities and corporate offices' spending across various categories. Utilizing Procurement processes, you will ensure that suppliers are selected and contracts executed that meet the needs of Brookdale communities and corporate offices while providing synergy in processes and savings. You will negotiate and implement local, regional, and national agreements and process enhancements to support the savings and service goals of the Procurement team. Additionally, you will drive contract and vendor compliance to new and existing national agreements and programs, support communication and training to associates on preferred programs and processes, assist associates with general questions on preferred suppliers, and complete monthly reporting and analysis. You will also track contract expiration and renewal and invoice processes utilized by suppliers, facilitating knowledge sharing with the Procurement team, Accounts Payable, Operations, Finance, Asset Management, and other teams as necessary for consistency in research, quality assurance, process, performance metrics, and pricing.
