This is an onsite position with possible opportunity for remote.
Responsibilities
- Securing advantages terms, volume discounts and long-term agreements with suppliers
- Managing requisitions and purchase Orders (PO) for the acquisition of necessary goods and supplies for the organization
- Conceptual and practical expertise within the specific area of procurement, as well as a general understanding of related functions
- Knowledgeable about best practices and the integration of their work with other departments, demonstrating an awareness of the competitive landscape and factors that distinguish the company in the market
- Serve as a resource for team members and potentially leading projects with limited risks and resource needs
- Analyze various information sources to develop new approaches to existing challenges and making sound judgments based on this analysis
- The impact of this position spans a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within the immediate team and related groups, operating within established guidelines and policies
- Effective communication is essential, with the ability to explain intricate, challenging, and sensitive information and to foster consensus among stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Experience with PeopleSoft software suite
- Proven ability to support multiple simultaneous procurements
- Experience and In-depth knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and applicable government procurement procedures
- Active Secret Security Clearance
