About The Position

The Procurement Specialist at TESSCO Technologies plays a crucial role in managing supply planning and purchasing processes to meet customer demand for wireless infrastructure products. This position involves collaboration with various departments, including product development, engineering, and sales, to ensure effective inventory management and on-time order completion. The successful candidate will leverage strong analytical skills and leadership abilities to optimize supply chain performance and enhance customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or other business-related fields.
  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain management, specifically inventory management, planning, and purchasing.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing bill of materials structure and configuration management.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving techniques.
  • Advanced MS Excel and data analysis/reporting abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Supplier negotiation and performance management experience.
  • SAP experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage supply planning and purchasing process to support new product launches and current product demand.
  • Meet set goals for order completion, inventory turns, aged inventory, and service levels.
  • Lead CPFR reviews with Ventev Product Management team members to manage inventory levels and mitigate excess.
  • Collaborate on analysis of product offer rationalization recommendations to optimize cost and enable revenue growth.
  • Lead manufacturer Supply Chain Scorecard reviews to address under-performance and leverage strengths.
  • Analyze and interpret data/trends on manufacturer's performance to develop and improve suppliers.
  • Assist in forecast accuracy analysis and safety stock level setting.
  • Resolve Purchase Order discrepancies by working with Finance and supplier partners.
  • Maintain accurate cost and lead times of materials in the system based on current supplier pricing.
  • Negotiate with vendors to maintain win-win relationships.
  • Optimize the Purchase order process and planning cycle for supply chain efficiencies.
  • Review practices, procedures, and processes for improvement.
