About The Position
As the nation's largest producer of clean, carbon-free energy, Constellation is dedicated to accelerating the transition to a carbon-free future. The Procurement Specialist will play a crucial role in implementing the Supply Chain Process, managing inventory, and overseeing investment recovery processes and programs. This position is essential in ensuring that customer and supplier needs are understood and addressed effectively, which includes managing engineered specifications, enforcing terms and conditions, and developing sourcing strategies to facilitate contracted deliverables. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day process resolution, which includes handling unenterable invoices, managing supplier changes, and identifying economies of scale. The role also involves investigating and correcting issues related to mismatched invoices, contracts, purchase orders, deliveries, and quality control. Additionally, the specialist will support the management of emergent supplier relationships and assist in developing supplier performance metrics using a supplier performance monitoring system. This includes updating monitoring system information, visiting key suppliers, and participating in long-range supplier alliance meetings. Furthermore, the Procurement Specialist will support the completion of technical evaluations, material classification, alternate replacement evaluations, and reverse engineering. The role also includes analysis of equipment and establishing commercial grade dedication, as well as supporting the Business Units' Emergency Response activities as assigned.
