About The Position

Saber Power Services, a portfolio company of Greenbelt Capital Partners, is a fully integrated electrical power system services firm providing end-to-end solutions across utility, renewables and battery storage, industrial, petrochemical, and other markets. Based in Houston, Texas, Saber Power offers deep subject matter expertise and uses an engineering-led approach to designing, installing, testing, and maintaining medium and high-voltage electrical infrastructure. Position Summary The Procurement Specialist II is responsible for independently managing key procurement activities while supporting project execution through effective sourcing, vendor coordination, and purchase order management. This intermediate-level role requires a strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier relationships, and project-driven material needs. The Procurement Specialist II serves as a key liaison between procurement, engineering, project management, and vendors to ensure materials, subcontracts, and rental equipment are delivered accurately, on time, and in compliance with company standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education is required
  • Minimum of 3 years of procurement, supply chain, or related experience in a professional or project-based environment
  • Strong working knowledge of procurement processes, purchase orders, and vendor coordination
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP or procurement systems is a plus
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred
  • Prior experience supporting construction, engineering, industrial, or electrical projects is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Independently create, review, and manage purchase orders for materials, subcontracts, and rental equipment in accordance with project requirements.
  • Maintain accurate purchase order logs, procurement trackers, and project-related documentation.
  • Proactively expedite material and equipment orders to meet project schedules and mitigate potential delays.
  • Communicate directly with vendors to obtain pricing, lead times, Proof of Delivery (POD), and resolve discrepancies or delivery issues.
  • Coordinate vendor drawings and submittals with engineering teams and manufacturers to ensure technical and project alignment.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to understand procurement needs and provide timely status updates.
  • Support vendor relationship management by maintaining consistent communication and assisting with performance issue resolution.
  • Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements within procurement operations.
  • Provide guidance and informal support to Procurement Specialist I team members as needed.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries related to procurement activities with professionalism and accuracy.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and project specifications.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested by management.
