About The Position

ABL Wholesale Distributors has proudly served Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia for over 50 years, supplying convenience retailers, universities, drugstore chains, and healthcare facilities. We value long-term relationships, exceptional service, and continuous growth. We're currently seeking a Procurement Specialist (Buyer) to join our team. The Procurement Specialist will report to the Purchasing Manager and work closely with our warehouse team to maintain supplier relationships, manage inventory levels, and support our purchasing efforts. This position plays a key role in ensuring we meet customer needs efficiently and cost-effectively.

Requirements

3-5 years of procurement/purchasing experience (preferably in wholesale or convenience store industry).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

Research new vendors, products, and programs for company growth.
Present product updates and opportunities to the Purchasing Manager.
Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely deliveries and address issues.
Work with Warehouse Supervisors and Accounts Payable to resolve delivery, invoice, and product discrepancies.
Assist in planning and executing our annual Trade Show.
Gather product information for new item setup in AS400.
Maintain inventory levels based on customer demand and previous sales.
Coordinate with Customer Service and other departments on purchasing-related needs.
Prepare weekly promotional flyers and submit on time.
Manage pre-book product sheets and place corresponding orders.
Assist Customer Service with special order inquiries.
Take on additional responsibilities as assigned to support departmental goals.
