About The Position

The Procurement Specialist 1 is responsible for placing purchase orders, scheduling deliveries, and resolving vendor and order issues, in accordance with set procedures and budget/schedule requirements. These products and services are for Class I and II medical devices hence quality and productivity standards are critical. This is a hybrid role located at HQ in Kennewick, WA.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field; or at least 4 years' related experience
• 2+ years of related experience required
• CPM (Certified Procurement Management) or similar certification preferred; certification accepted in lieu of 1 year of required experience
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong business math skills; read and interpret data and reports
• Competency in computer skills: MS Office and Google applications, query tools, and database systems and applications
• Attention to detail, organized approach to work, effective time management and follow-through
• Must develop knowledge of Cadwell products and components

Responsibilities

• Prepare purchase orders/bid requests, and send purchase orders to vendors, adhering to purchasing policies, processes and procedures
• Monitor status of orders, and contact vendor as needed regarding delivery, and discrepancies such as with quantity and quality of items
• Complete data entry of purchase orders with high level of accuracy and proficiency
• Perform data analytics
• Negotiate best vendor terms, pricing and delivery, based on specific quality, budget and schedule requirements
• Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
