About The Position

As a Procurement Sourcing Manager at Drax, you will analyze spending within your area of responsibility and consolidate spending categories to create a sourcing and contracting plan for each category. You will assist in developing the scope for sourcing events and lead the end-to-end sourcing process, including contract negotiations. By collaborating with other sourcing leaders and procurement managers, you will optimize spending effectively. Requirements

  • Strong understanding of different contracting models, including sourcing best practices, cost modelling, and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated ability in category management, contracting and supplier negotiations.
  • Ability to lead commercial negotiations and dispute resolutions
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and collaborative skills
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Must possess a strong mindset to adhere with documentation framework and policies
  • 5+ years’ experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Finance or Legal studies.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Sourcing tools will be an added advantage.
  • Experience working in an industrial facility will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end sourcing process, including the development of RFx documents, supplier communications, bid analysis, evaluation, negotiation, and award recommendations.
  • Consolidate spending across various sites and categories. Identify cost drivers and translate them into savings opportunities.
  • Prepare and execute sourcing strategies and contracting plans.
  • Manage contract negotiations by collaborating with other support functions, such as legal, finance, and operations.
  • Assist in contract management and dispute resolution to promote long-term, performance-based relationships with suppliers.
  • Ensure strict compliance with procurement, legal, and other governance policies and frameworks.
