Procurement Rep Sr
About The Position
Sources, negotiates and purchases machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for operation of an organization. Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives. Monitors performance of suppliers. Compiles information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes. Evaluates areas of opportunity to leverage material acquisitions. Tracks data to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes. Negotiates with suppliers and analyzes suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and to determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records. May prepare request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.
Requirements
- Degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience with specialized training commensurate with assignment
- Knowledge of acquisition policies and procedures such as FAR and DFAR
- Demonstrated ability to execute and peer review compliant and procurement packages
- Ability to work autonomously and be accountable for all assignments
- Self-motivated and demonstrated sense of urgency
- Experience placing and managing Purchase Orders in Procure to Pay (P2P) and/or SC Nav
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills
- Ability to interact with management, suppliers, LM functions, and other personnel on significant matters, often requiring coordination between functional organizations
- Demonstrated business acumen and ability to make sound business based decisions
- Ability to think outside the box and bring unique solutions to the table
- Ability to multi-task while balancing strategic priorities and recognizing when to escalate
- Ability to work on-site
Nice To Haves
- Working knowledge of Lockheed Martin Acquisition Procedures and Work Instruction
- Experience with TINA level purchase orders and commercial item justifications
- Experience with non-competitive justifications
- Experience executing and definitizing letter contracts
- Experience with build-to-print procurements
- Cross-functional knowledge of Supplier Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing as they relate to PO Placement and Supplier Management.
- Ability to conduct supplier visits as necessary
