The Procurement Operations Manager reports to the Global Procurement Director, Operations, Rolled Products and Extrusions and has a strong matrix reporting relationship to the Lafayette Plant Manager. This role offers direct exposure to senior leadership and fast-track career growth. You'll work alongside passionate problem-solvers in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing management.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
  • This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven leadership in purchasing management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM).

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the Procurement and Storeroom functions primarily at Arconic Lafayette Operations, Lafayette IN.
  • Structure, staff, lead and develop the procurement operations team at Arconic Lafayette Operations to meet business needs and deliver procurement objectives.
  • Act as the key interface between the procurement organization and business unit leadership.
  • Work closely with operations, maintenance, and finance leaders to ensure congruence between plant operating objectives and procurement activities.
  • Develop and lead the plant procurement team and storeroom department.
  • Develop, support and implement strategic and tactical plans that achieve cost savings, working capital improvement and procurement process cost reduction objectives.
  • Lead non-commercial events as required to meet cost reduction objectives, including Kaizen workshops, supplier productivity workshops and working capital / inventory workshops.
