About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Multi-Family Manager (Level K) to join our dynamic team in Mesa Arizona. The Apache Supply Chain Business Team seeks a proactive, experienced First-Line Manager to lead post-award activities including parts mitigation, supplier recovery, cost recovery, and change board management for Apache programs. This role will manage a cross-functional team of Supply Base Managers and Procurement Analysts driving timely and compliant responses to supplier and program changes ensuring financial and schedule impacts are identified, mitigated, and recovered where appropriate.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience with Supplier Management or Procurement as a Purchasing Agent/Buyer.
  • 3+ years' experience developing and implementing process improvements.
  • 3+ years' experience in negotiating contracts or managing supplier performance.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher.
  • 1+ years' experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role.
  • 1+ years' experience working across multiple programs and locations.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.
  • Manages employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.
