About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a 777 Procurement Manager to join our 777 Supply Chain Integration team in Everett, Washington. The 777 Program Supply Chain Team is looking for a Supply Chain Manager! This is an exciting opportunity to join a high performing supply chain team, working inside the factory alongside the 777 Airplane Program. This role will bring candidates into the complex and challenging world of demand management, program integration and supply chain analysis. Responsibilities will include managing a high performing team responsible for demand management, inventory management and value stream integration cross functions. You will be joining a team dedicated to creating a culture focused on empowerment, accountability and trust, with complex work packages in a fast paced and multifaceted environment. Ideal candidates will excel in building and leading high performing teams, partnering cross functionally to solve complex supply chain issues, and strategic decision-making to support supply chain and production goals. Our team is currently hiring for (Level K) 777 Procurement Manager.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Fulfillment, or Program Management
  • 3+ years of experience in identifying and communicating business requirements with cross-functional and/or cross-business teams
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree
  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing projects and/or teams
  • 3+ years of experience as proven leader with strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • 3+ years of experience demonstrating exceptional business, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or operations environment
  • Experience utilizing strategic decision making and supply chain metrics to drive business results

Responsibilities

  • Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.
  • Manages employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes and small business subcontracting.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.
