About The Position

The Boeing Company is seeking a 777 Procurement Manager to join the 777 Supply Chain Integration team in Everett, Washington. This role is an exciting opportunity within the 777 Program Supply Chain Team, working directly inside the factory alongside the 777 Airplane Program. The position delves into the complex and challenging areas of demand management, program integration, and supply chain analysis. Responsibilities include managing a high-performing team focused on demand management, inventory management, and cross-functional value stream integration. The team is committed to fostering a culture of empowerment, accountability, and trust, handling intricate work packages in a fast-paced and multifaceted environment. Ideal candidates will excel at building and leading high-performing teams, collaborating cross-functionally to resolve complex supply chain issues, and making strategic decisions to support supply chain and production goals. This is a Level K 777 Procurement Manager position.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Fulfillment, or Program Management
  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing projects and/or teams
  • 3+ years of experience as proven leader with strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • 3+ years of experience in identifying and communicating business requirements with cross-functional and/or cross-business teams
  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.
  • Manages employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes and small business subcontracting.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.
