The role involves working with internal business partners to anticipate and plan the acquisition strategy for goods and services at the best overall value to MFS. This includes providing analysis to assist with decision making and to support negotiations with suppliers. Using discretion and judgment, while following established procedures, you will bid and coordinate the timely and accurate processing of company procurement requests.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5-6+ years of Procurement or related experience.
  • Experienced negotiator.
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively manage high-volume workload and complex priorities.
  • Be action oriented with superior attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), analytical, customer service, problem solving and presentation skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft applications including Excel and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the establishment of relationships and open communications with internal customer in order to identify sourcing opportunities.
  • Works with business to understand requirements, determine appropriate vendor, obtain bids and provide analysis.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with Suppliers.
  • Reviews purchase requests for completeness and proper authorizations prior to creating and issuing purchase orders to suppliers.
  • Oversees multiple special projects or analysis.
  • Oversees Procurement programs, for example, Procurement Card Program or Office Supply Program.
  • Oversee Supplier relations.
  • Identifies issues and works with Suppliers to resolve problems that arise.
  • Review and supervise the work of less senior Procurement teammates.
