Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Professional experience in Supply Chain Management (i.e… Procurement, Subcontract Administration, Subcontract Management, Negotiation, proposal, and/or Category Management).
  • Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

  • Previous supply chain/procurement-related experience.
  • Demonstrated 'Can-Do' Attitude.
  • Experience with ERP systems, ideally LM Procure to Pay.

  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Proven exceptional strategic communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, as well as program and executive management, with an ability to persuade and motivate action.

Responsibilities

  • Develops a global sourcing strategy for IT software, hardware and related items.
  • Defines project scope and facilitates execution, identifying savings opportunities in order to provide differentiating value.
  • Works with Business Area, Business Unit or Enterprise-wide, cross-functional teams to analyze supply base risks & opportunities, identify new sources of supply and meet business requirements.
  • Negotiates and manages contracts and relationships with suppliers to drive innovative strategies that enhance performance.
  • Implements policies and metrics to ensure that savings goals are realized and performance requirements are achieved.
  • Acts as the main focal point for all matters pertaining to the given category.
  • Responsible for quality and performance of supplier products.
  • Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
