About The Position

Our Summer Intern Program is aimed at providing an enriching and mutually beneficial experience that empowers young talent with the skills, knowledge, and values needed to excel in their chosen fields and prepare them for the next step in their careers. In addition to their working teams, the cohort will have regular opportunities to engage with each other and senior leaders from across Advarra to expand their networks and exposure to the business. Advarra, a Blackstone-backed leader in clinical research and IRB solutions, is seeking a motivated Procurement Intern to support a growing procurement function. Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement, the intern will gain hands-on exposure to strategic sourcing, vendor management, and contract administration within a fast-paced, mission-driven organization. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful infrastructure-building work, including supplier onboarding, spend analysis, purchase order processing via NetSuite, and research in support of RFP and vendor evaluation initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Graduate or undergraduate student pursing a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance or a related field
  • Ability to participate in the cohort beginning Monday, June 1, 2026 and running through Friday, August 7, 2026 and work either full time between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm EST
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States

  • Prior coursework in procurement, contracts, or business operations is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist the procurement team in managing vendors through regular communication regarding contract updates, performance concerns, and quarterly business reviews.
  • Support the procurement team with Requests for Proposals and price negotiations across multiple vendors.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team on contract redlining and distributing non-disclosure agreements.
  • Monitor travel expenses and share updates on new travel policies with the team.
