The Summer Procurement Intern will contribute to Peter Millar’s procurement and supply chain initiatives, supporting contract management, cost-saving projects, operational improvements, and strategic forecasting. This internship provides a hands-on learning experience in a dynamic environment, offering opportunities to develop technical skills, business acumen, and professional networks.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Interest in procurement and supply chain management.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Project Work: Perform spend analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities for fiscal year 2026.
  • Develop vendor scorecards for top suppliers, collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze Q1 performance.
  • Operational Support: Cleanse and organize procurement data to enhance database accuracy.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for Q1 operations.
  • Strategic Contributions: Analyze procurement and forecasting trends to inform the end-of-year budget planning cycle.
  • Contract Management: Support ongoing contract organization, updates, and maintenance.
  • Assist in ensuring audit compliance by improving contract storage processes.
  • Learning and Development Opportunities: Gain hands-on experience with procurement tools, ERP systems, and data analysis platforms.
  • Participate in team meetings, strategy sessions, and presentations to leadership.
  • Receive mentorship from experienced procurement professionals and access to professional development resources.
