About The Position
At Belden, you will act as the global procurement project leader throughout the machined and molded parts development process, securing and monitoring related deliverables. You will integrate global procurement, suppliers, and R&D into the development process at an early stage, driving cost-out measures through design-to-cost, market/technology scouting, reverse engineering, and material standardization. Your role will also involve improving the raw material supply base and driving insourcing initiatives in close cooperation with R&D, strategic procurement, and supply chain. You will screen the global supplier/manufacturer market to identify and qualify new potential alternative sources to ensure performance and cost competitiveness. Additionally, you will review actual and future compound designs against supply chain risks and drive risk elimination activities with all dedicated stakeholders. You will also be responsible for driving compound standardization between different Belden business units and monitoring supplier progress while leading cross-functional reviews to assure timely completion of deliverables and milestones.
