Requirements

• 5 - 7+ years’ experience in Electromechanical / Mechatronics product engineering, R&D, manufacturing or technical procurement.
• Skilled in supplier interfacing, communication with supplier and project management.
• Ability to understand product / component design and discuss it with suppliers to optimize for manufacture.
• Graduate in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to travel 10%.

Responsibilities

• Be actively involved in the product development/ manufacturing process and pushing forward cost reduction measures.
• Closely align with R&D/ Engineering community, PLM, Commodity Managers, Buyers.
• Include suppliers and conduct cost-benefit analysis workshops, innovation workshops and concept competitions with key suppliers.
• Conduct and provide market information/ analysis on relevant global technologies and price trends.
• Introduce and follow up given cross-functional Procurement strategies.
• Support activities planned by the lines of business to harmonize and implement technological strategies.
• Drive sourcing decisions with interface partners.
• Provide input for supplier quotes optimization, BoM assessment, lead time reduction and on-time improvement.
• Develop suppliers from the engineering standpoint and conduct suppliers audit.
• Participate in workgroups to stay informed and keep others informed.
