About The Position

The Procurement Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the supply chain and procurement functions of the company, particularly for its Sushi and Asian Hot Foods product lines. This position involves close collaboration with various employees and external partners to ensure efficient operations within the Distribution department, focusing on procurement, logistics, and administrative tasks.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or BS preferred.
• 1-2 years' experience in procurement or supply chain.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Data entry experience.
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Pull order history and support procurement specialists on inventory control.
• Work closely with 3PLs to ensure proper setup of ingredients and locations.
• Research and source new ingredients for promotions or replacements.
• Maintain procurement reports and spreadsheets.
• Communicate with suppliers and manufacturers regarding issues such as delayed POs or ingredient quality concerns.
• Inform individuals about the status of sample shipments and implementation schedules.
• Assist with setting up new products and reviewing existing products as necessary.
• Perform data entry and filing tasks for purchase orders and equipment inventory.
