ONLY OPEN TO CURRENT FULL-TIME ANNUALLY PAID PARKS EMPLOYEES Major Responsibilities - Under general supervision, with latitude for independent initiative and judgment, perform responsible work for the Contracts Unit. - Work closely under the Deputy Director of Contract Unit to perform all required procurement tasks and ensure compliance with city and Agency procurement policies. - Draft and review of bid specifications, review bid solicitations and analysis, review vendor responsibility, process contract registrations, and monitor vendor compliance with the City’s Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) program and prevailing wage requirements. - Conduct bid openings, evaluate and analyze bid prices against prior bids and conduct market analysis of prices. - Monitor and ensure databases including PassPort, FMS, CBRET and DART are updated by staff accurately. - Generate contract expenditure reports and work with contracts unit staff to ensure that funds are appropriately paid as per the city’s accounting rules. - Assist in training Agency staff and vendors on contract procedures and requirements. - Work with Agency staff and oversight agencies on all aspects of contract compliance.

  • 1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or 2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or 3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
