Requirements

  • B.S. degree in supply chain management, finance, business administration or related field, one year of procurement and/or supplier management experience including analysis of contracts, services and products or administrative support or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training.
  • Strong ability to develop and maintain professional strategic relationships internally and with external suppliers.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with internal clients and external suppliers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and reviews purchase requisitions, purchase orders, invoices and payments to suppliers for accuracy, completeness and conformance to purchasing and other company policies, procedures and guidelines to minimize corporate risk, and confers with accounting, management and/or suppliers to resolve problems (e.g., quality, delivery, invoicing, rejections, payments between the company and suppliers, etc.). (75%)
  • Prepares reports on purchasing, sourcing and supplier activities, identifies problems and trends, and makes recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness of purchasing, sourcing and supplier activities, contract negotiations, etc. (15%)
  • Participates in special projects (e.g., conducting special research, developing training and/or communication materials, etc.). (10%)
