ROLE SUMMARY The Procurement Coordinator I works closely with the storeroom manager, storeroom team, and purchasing department to ensure materials are received, handled, stored, issued, shipped and cycle counted in accordance with GPI corporate policies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, or GED/equivalent required
  • 3-5 years’ work experience preferred
  • Proficiency in SAP, or comparable ERP platforms
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Must have a clear driving record within the past 7 years
  • Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills to effectively coach, motivate and communicate with all levels of organization
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to work shift work, overtime, holidays, and weekends as scheduled
  • Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled environments, (i.e. mill grounds, warehouses, outdoors, etc.)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background screening and drug screening

Responsibilities

  • Abides by all Safety Policies set forth by Graphic Packaging.
  • Receives incoming shipments for store purchase orders to include FedEx, UPS, LTL, etc.
  • Utilize SAP for goods receipts/returns, storeroom issues/returns and cycle counts.
  • Coordinates shipments of damaged materials, double shipments, repair items to vendors.
  • Verifies receipt of product, quantity, quality, and cost against the vendor’s packing list.
  • Notifies buyer and/or vendor of packing list discrepancies.
  • Performs internal mill deliveries.
  • Files packing slips and goods receipts.
  • Performs annual and critical material cycle counts of inventory per Corporate Guidelines.
  • Stocks and issues material from outlying warehouses.
  • Maintains a clean and organized storeroom and receiving area.
  • Performs bin integrity checks to verify parts are correctly located in bin, quantity on hand is correct.
  • Assist team members in locating parts in the storeroom as needed.
  • Required to work annual shutdown(s) on rotating 12-hour shifts, 7 days per week.
  • Month end inventory responsibilities for fuel, oil and finishing/shipping material
  • Works rotating weekend shifts performing both material issues and goods receipts.
  • Monitors and responds to incoming radio requests from production and maintenance departments.
  • Must be able to attain Certified Lift Truck Operator license
  • Complete all other assignments as needed to include special project assignments.
