The Procurement Contracts Analyst at Salinas Valley Health is responsible for developing, reviewing, and processing various types of contracts including supply, capital, purchase services, and IT contracts. This role involves extensive data analysis and administrative tasks, ensuring compliance with company policies while collaborating with department leadership and key stakeholders.

  • Develop, review, and process supply, capital, purchase services, and IT contracts from initial request to contract execution.
  • Handle administrative tasks and respond to internal and external correspondence following established company policies.
  • Prepare necessary documents to process contract requests and maintain contract files.
  • Attend in-services and meetings as required to stay updated on departmental needs.
  • Maintain a log or spreadsheet of all contract requests, noting key information for contracts in process.
  • Conduct initial reviews of terms and conditions and price justification for contracts.
  • Notify the Value Analysis Team for supply-related contracts as appropriate.
  • Prepare routing forms and related documentation for review and signature.
  • Meet with key stakeholders to discuss terms, conditions, pricing, and next steps.
  • Assist leaders with vendor negotiations as needed and review redline documentation from vendors.
  • Collaborate with leaders to generate executive summaries with financial impacts and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Upload final contracts into the electronic contract repository system.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience required.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in healthcare supply chain contracting or supply chain data analysis.
  • Strong data analysis skills and computer proficiency.
  • Experience with healthcare supply chain analytics.
  • Familiarity with contract management software.
  • Competitive hourly wage ranging from $40.43 to $50.54.
  • Full-time position with a standard work shift of 40 hours per week.
