The Role As a Procurement Consultant, you will support procurement transformation initiatives from assessment through implementation. Working as part of an Analysis or Engagement team, you will be assigned to a category or workstream and collaborate with Maine Pointe and client stakeholders to identify opportunities, develop strategies, and execute initiatives that deliver quantifiable cost savings and improved sourcing capabilities. This role is ideal for procurement professionals with strong sourcing fundamentals, consulting experience, and a desire to build deep client-facing skills while driving real-world impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, operations, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
  • 7–10 years of experience in procurement strategy, strategic sourcing, purchasing, or supplier relationship management
  • Combination of consulting and in-house procurement experience with demonstrated career progression
  • Experience supporting or leading transformation initiatives where change management was critical
  • Authorization to work in the United States is required (no sponsorship available)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver assigned procurement workstreams on time and in alignment with study and engagement plans
  • Analyze client spend, procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and results to identify improvement opportunities
  • Develop category strategies, including market analysis, supplier analysis, total cost modeling, and needs assessment
  • Support execution of sourcing strategies by qualifying suppliers, gathering business requirements, and executing RFXs
  • Partner with clients to develop tools and processes that build sustainable procurement capabilities
  • Build effective working relationships with client stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor
  • Identify and escalate follow-on opportunities that support broader client value creation
