Reporting to the Procurement Compliance Manager, this position will perform administrative and clerical duties for the procurement department. The objective is to support the business, including organization strategies and execution.

  • Research suppliers and collect prices, specifications, and other data related to goods and services.
  • Coordinate with procurement and accounting to collect and enter all necessary information for supplier onboarding.
  • Assign material numbers through established nomenclature and sequencing and assist with data collection required for item creation.
  • Maintain material and supplier records as it pertains to compliance activities.
  • Assist the procurement team with compliance reporting activities including country of origin and supplier diversity.
  • Collect essential information related to our suppliers and their products/services for reporting at weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly meetings.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of material databases within an ERP System with standardization in mind.
  • Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Monitor and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Ability to effectively interact with internal and external personnel at all levels.
  • Engage with company guests/visitors in a respectful and welcoming manner, assisting with any queries.
  • Minimum 2 years' applied experience in purchasing and/or procurement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in a team and independently.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Experience with negotiation and cost reduction strategies.
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (Business, Procurement, Supply Chain).
  • Prior experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Experienced with computer-driven purchasing systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar MRP/ERP.
