About The Position

As a CDL Driver at Juniper Landscaping LLC, you will play a vital role in supporting the operational success of our landscaping projects you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of commercial motor vehicles in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. This role involves the delivery, pickup, and transport of materials, goods, or equipment while maintaining high standards of safety, communication, and customer service. This position requires strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills to ensure timely and accurate deliveries that support the efficiency and productivity of field crews. You will work closely with project managers, warehouse staff, and landscape installation teams to ensure all transportation needs are met with professionalism and reliability.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid CDL Class A or B license (depending on position requirements).
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and background check.
  • Current DOT medical card.
  • Familiarity with local and interstate routes, ELDs, and load securement standards.
  • Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs and perform physical duties related to loading/unloading.
  • Must pass a DOT physical exam and drug/alcohol screening in accordance with FMCSA regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Class A commercial vehicles in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance.
  • Transport goods, materials, or equipment to customer sites or company facilities in a timely and safe manner.
  • Maintain accurate driver logs, delivery documentation, and inspection records using ELD systems or manual logs as required.
  • Ensure proper loading, securing, and unloading of cargo.
  • Follow all safety protocols including HOS (Hours of Service), speed limits, and route assignments.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site personnel, and supervisors to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues.
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, or violations promptly.
  • Comply with drug and alcohol testing programs and DOT physical certification requirements.
  • Assisting with general landscaping tasks such as planting, mulching, or irrigation installation during periods of downtime or when not driving.
  • Participating in optional company events or safety meetings, including seasonal kickoffs, team-building activities, or non-mandatory refreshers.
