About the position

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. As a Procure-to-Pay Specialist, you'll be supporting procurement ops for data center construction categories. Data Center Services Procurement (DCSP) supports Data Center Planning and Delivery (DCPD) in obtaining the best services at the lowest costs, and manages the full 'Supplier Lifecycle' including Strategic Sourcing and Intake, Onboarding, Solicitations, Spending and Transaction Policy (S&TP) Compliance, Contract management, Supplier Development, as well as all the follow on activities with Requisitioning and Payment Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily escalation support for customer requisitioning queues
  • Governance domain expert responsible for operations procurement compliance
  • Creating/maintaining program SOPs and working with stakeholders as needed to perform regular updates
  • Implementing mechanisms to increase procurement efficiencies
  • Managing procurement processes consistently on a regional and global basis
  • Ensuring purchase requisitioning queues maintain SLA and quality standards
  • Become a subject matter expert on all systems and policies related to team programs
  • Partnering with technical supports teams to resolve requisitioning related system issues
  • Assisting global customers with the resolution of complex invoicing issues
  • Work across various business and technical SDE teams to define and implement procurement application functionality
  • Co-owner of customer procure-to-pay (P2P) invoice support programs
  • Assist partner administrative procurement support team with their daily queries and provide ad hoc training as needed

Requirements

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience
  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
  • 2+ years of supply chain experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
