About The Position

As a Procurement Buyer II here at Honeywell, you will play a key role in driving our organization's procurement and purchasing activities. This position plays a critical part in ensuring the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and strategic alignment within the procurement function. You will report directly to our Procurement Manager and you'll work out of our Lincolnshire, IL location on a Hybrid work schedule. For all new hires, you must be onsite fully M-F for the first 90 days. In this role, you will impact the organization by optimizing procurement practices, enhancing profitability, and securing a reliable and agile supply chain, making your expertise an indispensable asset to our organization's success.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or buying.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Knowledge of buying strategies, supplier relations, and cost control.
• Proficient in procurement software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Drive the purchasing process, from identifying procurement needs to supplier selection, negotiations, and contract management, ensuring that purchases are made efficiently and in accordance with organizational guidelines.
• Participate in identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, conducting due diligence, and negotiating terms to secure cost-effective and high-quality purchases.
• Monitor and control purchasing costs, seeking cost-saving opportunities, negotiating favorable terms, and optimizing the allocation of resources.
