About The Position

As a Procurement Buyer at Honeywell, you will play a key role in driving our organization's procurement and purchasing activities. This position plays a critical part in ensuring the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and strategic alignment within the procurement function. You will report directly to our Procurement Buying Supervisor and you'll work out of our Mason, Ohio or Charlotte, NC location on a Hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the company by orchestrating and optimizing the procurement function, leading to enhanced operational efficiency, substantial cost savings, and fortifying its position in the competitive business landscape.

Requirements

  • Experience in procurement or purchasing roles.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with procurement software and tools.
  • Understanding of supply chain management principles.

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in procurement or sourcing.
  • Knowledge of buying strategies, supplier relations, and cost control.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Intermediate in Excel and Tableau.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the purchasing process, from identifying procurement needs to supplier selection, negotiations, and contract management, ensuring that purchases are made efficiently and in accordance with organizational guidelines.
  • Participate in identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, conducting due diligence, and negotiating terms to secure cost-effective and high-quality purchases.
  • Monitor and control purchasing costs, seeking cost-saving opportunities, negotiating favorable terms, and optimizing the allocation of resources.
